FIRST DATE

※ 最初に、フレンドとガールフレンドの説明ムービーが流れる。
そのムービーには、リトル・ジェイコブとパッキー・マクレリーとダスティ・カウポーク（キャバレークラブ「PERESTROIKA」に出演しているパフォーマー）が登場する。PERESTROIKAから出てくる、テンガロンハットをかぶった赤シャツの男がダスティ・カウポークである。

～Michelle宅～
Michelle : Coming... Who is it?

• は～い･･･どなた?

Niko : Hey, it's Niko.

• やぁ、Nikoだ。

Michelle : Hey... I'm just finishing my hair. Come in.

• いらっしゃい･･･。今、ちょうど髪を整えてたところなの。入って。

Niko : Thank you.

• どうも。

Michelle : I'll be with you in a minute.

• すぐ行くわ。

Niko : Did you just move in?

• 引っ越して来たばかりなのか?

Michelle : No... why?

• いや･･･、どうして?

Niko : All your stuff is new. Some even still have tags on.

• 全部、新品ばかりじゃないか。値札が付いている物だってある。

Michelle : Yeah, well... I like things clean.

• あぁ、えっと･･･私、清潔な物が好きなの。

Niko : I can see that... but, er... everything is new.

• なるほどな･･･。それにしても、あぁ･･･新品ばかりだ。

Michelle : Yeah. I'm kind of obsessed with cleanliness... things get on my nerves and I just throw them out.OCD or something?

• そうね、潔癖症っていうのかしら･･･いけないとは思っているんだけどね。強迫性障害か何かかしら。

Niko : Oh.

Michelle : Yeah, great! Let's go - love the funfair! Actually we call it, um, "carnival" here.

Niko : So, Michelle, what do you like to do?

Niko : Yeah, maybe another time.

Michelle : The carnival's closed, Niko. I think some big developers have bought it or something.
Hey, there's a bowling alley up here. We should play.

Niko : Cool. Let's go bowling then.

• 良いね、行こう。

Michelle : Thanks for taking me out. I haven't been on a date for a while. I'm kind of lonely here.

• 連れて行ってくれて、ありがとう。私、しばらくデートなんてしてなかったの。あんまり知合いも居ないし。

Niko : I thought you were doing me a favor by going out with me. You're the local.

• デートに付き合ってくれてるのかと思ったよ。地元だしな。

Michelle : I'm not a local in Liberty City. I came here from somewhere...

• 私はLiberty Cityの人間じゃないの、外から来たのよ･･･。

Niko : Where?

• どこだ?

Michelle : Oh, the Midwest. You probably know more people here than me.

• 中西部よ。ここでの知合いは、あなたの方が私より多いと思うわ。

Niko : More assholes maybe.

• 多分、クソったればっかりだけどな。

Michelle : I thought you'd be better at that, Niko. We had fun, didn't we? Will you take me back home now?

• ボーリングが得意なのね、Niko。楽しかったね?家まで送ってくれる？

Niko : I'm not going to make you take the subway. Let's go.

Niko : So, you don't know many people here in Liberty City. No boyfriends or husbands or anything?

Michelle : No, I guess I'm married to my job.

Michelle ： I work with Mallorie. What do you do, exactly?

• そうね。私はMallorieと働くわ、あなたは?

Niko : You're a hard girl to talk to, Michelle.

Michelle : I guess you're not used to talking to American women.

• アメリカ女性と話すのが、慣れてないせいもあると思う。

Niko : I guess.

Michelle : So, what are you doing here in Liberty City, Niko?

• それで、Liberty Cityで何するの?Niko。

Niko : What's anybody doing here? I don't know.

• 何をすれば良いかな。分からない。

Michelle : I think you do. There must be something that made you leave your home and come here.

• 何か出来るわよ。それでなきゃ、出てきた甲斐がないじゃない。

Niko : Roman's bullshit stories maybe. I just felt like I needed a new start.

• Romanは、でたらめな野郎だ。俺は、何かを始めなければって思ってるよ。

Michelle : There's nothing else about Liberty City then, just Roman?

• Romanの他に、あてはないの?

Niko : Maybe there is more to this place, I'm not sure yet.

Michelle : That was nice. I'm really interested in seeing you again.

• 本当に楽しかった。また、あなたに会いたいわ。

Niko : Yeah. That would be good. I'll give you a call.
