Take away all the coutroom drama, goofy comedyand punny banes, and it's just your typical adventure game, the sort that outforewatehrs played on PCs all through the 1980s. (And a really linear adventuregame, to boot-if you have a valid solution that the game didn't think of, well, tough) And yet, somehow, the origional Phoenix Wright seemed amazingly freshwhen it game out in 2005. If I had to guess, I'd say it was all in thepresentation-the incredably tense scenes when Phoenix would tcatch a witness ina boldfaced lie and send him into a comic nervious breakdown

Justice For All, the second Phoenix Wright game, wisely knows not to messwith a winning formula. As budding defence lawyer Phoenix, you tackle a seriesof four cases, going out in the field in search of new evidence and using yourfindings in the courtroom to plead your case to the judge. Miles Edgeworth(your pervious nemesis) has gone off somewhere, but in his place in Franziskavon Karma, an 18-year-old prosecutor (?!) fresh from Germany and ready forrevenge agasinst Phoenix for pytting her father away in the pervious game'sfinal case. This basic gameplay is completely unchanged from theorigiona; the only additition is a "Psyche Lock" system where you use one ofPearl's mystical doodads to controng a characer who's hiding something fromyou, then use evidence courtrooom style to to beat the truth out of him. (Shameyou can't do this to witnesses in the courtroom itself, where it'd be mosthelpful.
